Gene Panel

Utilizing Panel Technology, multiple genes associated with cancer can be simultaneously screened, accurately identifying genetic variations in patients' tumors, and providing crucial information for personalized treatment plans.
Small Panel: Typically customized for specific cancer types, comprising a dozen to several dozen representative genes, including gene loci related to approved drugs and recommended by clinical guidelines domestically and internationally. For example, in lung cancer, the Small Panel detects important genes such as EGFR, ALK, ROS1, RET, MET, BRAF, ERBB2, KRAS, NTRK, guiding whether patients can benefit from targeted therapy.
Large Panel: Generally applicable to multiple cancer types, consisting of hundreds to thousands of genes. In addition to including gene loci related to approved drugs and recommended by clinical guidelines, it incorporates numerous gene loci under clinical research. Through comprehensive genetic testing, it guides whether patients can benefit from targeted therapy. Compared to Small Panels, besides detecting the target genes of approved targeted drugs, other genes related to tumor development may also be found, providing opportunities for participation in clinical trial medication and potential off-label drug use. Moreover, Large Panels may include rare disease or tumor-related gene targets not covered by Small Panels, guiding therapy for rare tumors.
